The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
